Winter at Gjendesheim
Surrounded by snowy mountains in abundance, Gjendesheim offer guided winter tours along Besseggen, summit hikes, courses and activities with trained and skilled guides. You may also rent randonnée skis, mountainskis, fatbikes and snowshoes – a perfect way to explore Norway's most popular mountains.
Open from week 8
Throughout the winter season, Gjendesheim is open daily from February 18th to May 1st. Gjendesheim is easily accesed by car, but in April you can also visit us by bus – check out the dates here.

Skiing, sledging, snow shoeing, summit hikes, winter courses, outdoor hot tub and wood fired pizza oven – great food, atmosphere and comfort indoors. Private rooms and bunk beds, the choice is yours!
Guide
With our guides in your group, we guarantee you a great hike. Gjendeguiden offers mountain and summit hikes, Besseggen tours, courses in winter activities, family hikes – and may also tailor make trips on request.
Hikes
Choose between pleasant day hikes and longer "expeditions". The area offers everything from easy, family friendly hikes to demanding summits. From Gjendesheim, the possibilities are many!

Booking for activities, courses and guided tours
To sign up for a course, arranged tour or other activity, you need to send the following information in an email to info.gjendesheim@dnt.no:
- Name of the activity
- Day of the activity
- Name for the person booking, membership number for DNT (if you have one), email, phone number and address.
When you book, you will receive an invoice with the cost of the stay by email. When this is paid, the reservation is confirmed.
If you only receive a confirmation, and not an invoice, you do not need to pay in advance.
